How It Started

Kazuko’s Bakery was founded from a deep passion for pet health and nutrition. As a dog owner and former high-performance athlete, I’ve always understood the importance of balanced nutrition and how dietary choices impact long-term health.

During the pandemic, I took the opportunity to explore canine nutrition and started baking homemade dog treats that I could trust.

The Research That Started It All 

To better understand what goes into commercial dog treats, I conducted research, analyzing:
✔ Dog food brands
✔ Ingredient lists
✔ Pricing comparisons

After launching a survey with over 60 pet owners, I found that many store-bought dog treats contained preservatives, artificial flavours, and unnecessary fillers. That’s when I decided to shift my focus to all-natural, limited-ingredient dog treats, real food for real dogs.

Kazzy, short for Kazuko, is my beloved pup and the reason this journey began. As my official taste-tester, Kazzy helped me refine my recipes to create wholesome, preservative-free treats that dogs can enjoy without compromise.
